Have used these weights above left ankle. Physio advised raising left leg from the knee to strengthen knee muscles. Product well made, pleasing in appearance, and secured with Velcro straps. First class product. My only suggestion is that the Velcro straps could be a little broader to secure weights better. The 4kg weights can tend to slip under straps. A minor criticism about a quality product which is very competitively priced. If it was possible to score 4.5 this would better reflect my views.

I dislike the fact that I need to use weights to build up my leg muscles. I have hip problem and the physiotherapist suggested i use them - which I have and will continue to do so. I am convinced they will do the job I bought them for. Yes they feel uncomfortable to use - 2kg around each ankle when moving will feel uncomfortable !! But I want to improve my leg muscles so no pain no gain.

They're good for about 30 minutes, after which time gravity causes them to slip and really dig into your ankles.

You can opt to place them a little higher above the ankle bone to combat this, but I appreciate blood flow to my feet.

Still, it's a good testament to this product that the velcro is strong enough to act as a tourniquet.
